Sermon Title: "Coming Out Of The Shadows: The 3rd & 4th Christians" (John 19:38-42)
Sermon Outline:
1. How much courage did it take for Joseph to ask pilot for the crucified body of Jesus?
2. Could you ever see yourself following through with such a career ending move like Nicodemus, when he showed up with 75 pounds of spices to give Jesus a proper burial?
3. Does it seem odd to you that Joseph and Nicodemus stepped forth, out of the shadows, after the crucifixion, when all perceived hope was gone?
4. Why would they do this when they didn't know Sunday was coming?
5. What do you think John's reaction was when they showed up to take the body of Jesus?
